NCSHPF High School Scholarship Program

In furtherance of its goal of supporting troopers, staff, and their families, the NC State Highway Patrol Foundation is pleased to offer scholarship consideration to eligible students for the school year beginning Fall 2026.

Eligible candidates will meet the following criteria:

• Have a parent or guardian who is an officer or staff member of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol;
• Have completed high school or equivalent study program (i.e., GED); and
• Be enrolled in higher education with a matriculation date of Fall 2026 (i.e. 2-year or 4-year college, trade school, or other professional education program)

The  application window for the 2026 scholarship program will be open from June 15th through August 15th.

When completing the application form, Applicants must provide documentation showing their status as a matriculating student or enrolled participant in a higher education program beginning in the fall semester of 2026. Each Applicant must also submit with their application an essay explaining the impact that their family member’s duties with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol has had on the Applicant’s personal development and educational goals.

Scholarships of up to $5,000.00 may be awarded to the Applicants selected.
